I'm trying to cope with a painful co-dependent break-up and I'm wondering about using the ';You're dead to me'; approach..... Like when he tries to talk to me..just tell him to ';RIP'; or ';Go to the light';
I would like to get to the point where his existance does not matter to me - I do not want to be friends. I want to feel nothing. Is the ';You're dead to me'; idea totally stupid!? Is it realistic.. Like am I going to be able to get by with basically looking right through him?Dealing with Break-up ';You're Dead to Me'; approach? How to cope with broken heart?
Unfortunately, no matter what clever sayings you can come up with to tell your ex, it will not change how you feel. You have to go through it fully, whatever you do, don't pretend you don't feel the pain. It will bite you in the *** later, and more unfortunately in a future relationship. Try to be strong for yourself and allow family or close friends take you out or do simple fun things you may have forgotten about. Pamper yourself. Cry it out.
His existence will only ';not matter to you'; when you're really getting over it. Ignore him. Don't talk to him at all. If he talks to you, simply tell him you're busy and you've got to go. Simple. If you want to look right through him, don't give him the satisfaction of coming up with something clever to send him off with. Let him know politely you're got things to do and busy yourself. Taking the high road tends to make the other person (your ex) rethink themselves. His loss!Dealing with Break-up ';You're Dead to Me'; approach? How to cope with broken heart?
If you want him completely out of your life and he is still trying to talk to you then yes, the ';you're dead to me'; approach should work. Act like he's not even there and if he walks up to you, turn your back and walk away.
I don't think this will be of any help but, just don't do that :( It sounds very immature from you (like a high school drama) plus that it will be very hurtful for him
Yeah. But be careful what you say.
you might regret it!
D: it might hurt him a lot
